Mrs. Foulker is now a partner of the Firm
Ehrmann Gehlbach Badger & Considine, LLC, is pleased to announce that Darla A. Foulker is now a partner of the Firm, joining Gary R. Gehlbach, David W. Badger, Dana M. Considine, and Emily R. Vivian.  The partners, along with associate attorneys Courtney E. Kennedy and Daniel R. Kapolnek, welcome Darla in her new role.
 
Mrs. Considine appointed to Task Force
Dana Considine has been appointed to the Illinois State Bar Association's Task Force for the Unauthorized Practice of Law.
 
Mr. Kapolnek completes zoning projects.
Mr. Kapolnek was successful in representing clients in 2 separate zoning matters.

Emily Vivian joins Gary Gehlbach, David Badger, and Dana Considine, and associate attorneys Darla A. Foulker, Courtney Kenney, and Daniel Kapolnek.
 
 
Mrs. Foulker continues to serve.
Mrs. Foulker is for her eighth time assisting in the United Way of Lee County fundraising campaign.
 
 
Mrs. Vivian appointed to serve as an editor for the Illinois State Bar Association.
Mrs. Vivian will be serving as editor of the Illinois State Bar Association Government Law Newsletter.
 
 
Mrs. Considine completes adoptions.
Mrs. Considine was successful in representing clients in 5 separate adoptions.
 
 
Mr. Gehlbach and Mrs. Vivian appointed to serve.
Mr. Gehlbach and Mrs. Vivian were recently appointed to the Real Estate Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association.
 
 
Mrs. Vivian appointed VP of Equity Legal Services.
Mrs. Vivian was recently appointed as VP of Equity Legal Services, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free legal services for low income individuals and families, including communities of color and all marginalized populations in St. Clair and Madison County, Illinois and parts of the St. Louis region.
 
 
Mrs. Kennedy completes fundraising cycle.
Mrs. Kennedy recently completed yet another successful fundraising cycle for the Dixon YMCA Strong Kids Coalition. 
 
 
Mrs. Foulker named 2019 Emerging Lawyer.
Based upon a survey of her peers, Mrs. Foulker was named 2019 Emerging Lawyer, designated to the top 2% of lawyers under 40 years old or practicing less than 10 years.
 
 
Mrs. Considine named 2019 Emerging Lawyer.

Mr. Lee appointed Associate Judge.
In late November 2018, the Circuit Judges of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit appointed Mr. Lee as an associate judge.
 
 
Mr. Gehlbach drafts new law.
Mr. Gehlbach helped draft a bill that was signed by Gov. Rauner.  The law provides that on the dissolution of a marriage, the designation by either spouse of the other as a beneficiary under a life insurance policy will be deemed revoked. 
 
 
Mr. Gehlbach has been appointed to the Illinois State Bar Association's Standing Committee on the Illinois Bar Journal. 
He previously served as Editor-in-Chief.

EGBC recently hired two new associate attorneys, Daniel Kapolnek and Emily Vivian.
 
 
 Mr. Gehlbach has been appointed to the Illinois State Bar Association Real Estate Law Section Council. 
He has twice served as Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair.

Mr. Gehlbach appointed to serve.
Mr. Gehlbach was recently appointed to serve as a Member of the ISBA Standing Committe of Legislation for 2017-2018.
 
 
Attorneys Considine and Kennedy successfully defend appeal
Mrs. Considine and Mrs. Kennedy successfully defended an appeal of a trial court decision that awarded substantial sums to a client of the firm. 
 
 
Mrs. Considine completes two-year term as Dixon Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman 

Mrs. Considine has recently completed her two-year term as the Dixon Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman.  She now continues to serve as a member of the Executive Committee as well as the Gala Committee.

 

Mrs. Considine serves as Lee County County Public Administrator and Public Guardian

Mrs. Considine continues to serve as the Lee County Public Administrator and Public Guardian, appointed by the Governor.  She has also recently been appointed in an Ogle County case as the Public Guardian.
 
 
Mr. Gehlbach testifies before of the House Judiciary Committee
As Chair of the State Bar Association's Trust and Estates Section Council, Mr. Gelhbach drafted a proposed bill to clarify and modify a provision of the Probate Act. He testified in support of his bill before the House Judiciary Committee on March 8th, following which the Committee voted unanimously to favorably recommend the bill to the full House. Mr. Gehlbach is also involved in drafting and reviewing a number of other bills related to estate planning and administration.
 
 
Mr. Gehlbach recently held a meeting with area realtors
Mr. Gehlbach held a meeting with a group of area real estate brokers to discuss issues related to residential real estate contacts.
 
 
Mrs. Foulker selected as recipient of  the "4 Under 40" Event
Mrs. Foulker was selected by the Dixon Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry as a recipient of the "4 Under 40" award. The award recognizes four individuals under the age of 40 for their career achievements and impact on the community.
 
 
Mrs. Considine appointed to serve on Lee County Board of Health
Mrs. Considine has been appointed by the Lee County Board to serve on the Lee County Board of Health.
 
 
Mr. Lee assists national developer
Mr. Lee assisted a national developer in obtaining a special use permit from the Lee County Board to decommission and then rebuild a local wind farm.
 
 
Mr. Lee speaks at the NCI Works conference
Mr. Lee recently spoke at the NCI Works annual conference regarding employment law. NCI Works provides services and training to employers and employees in Lee and several surrounding counties.
 
 
Mr. Gehlbach Presents on Estate Planning
Through the Illinois State Bar Association, Mr. Gehlbach recently presented a webinar to Illinois attorneys on the use of powers of attorney in estate planning.
 
 
Mrs. Considine Served on Lee and Ogle County Committee
Mrs. Considine served on the committee of local lawyers and judges that drafted new family law forms for use in Lee and Ogle counties, in response to Illinois’ new Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act.
 
 
Mr. Lee Organized Debate for State's Attorney Canidates
As President of the Lee County Bar Association, Mr. Lee organized a debate among the three candidates for Lee County State’s Attorney.
 
 
Ms. Heeg Settles Case over $144,000
Ms. Heeg recently settled a case against a former corporate officer in which the former officer agreed to pay a bankruptcy estate over $144,000 that the officer had fraudulently transferred out of the corporation just before he put the corporation into bankruptcy. 
 
 
Mrs. Foulker Joins the United Way Board
Mrs. Foulker is one of the newest members of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Lee County.
